Ideas

Greetings.

We will choose either Non-Browser-Based Design or Mobile Design.

Here's some of my ideas:

NON-BROWSER-BASED DESIGN:
1. An interactive storybook
Target audience: Children
Fun, interesting, makes learning more interactive.
Possible text below are highlighted when being read(voice). Page flips as transition.
Many interactive rollovers of illustration on page, links to mini games/facts.

MOBILE DESIGN:
1. All-in-1
Target audience: Teenage girls
A sort of editable data entry database, very basic and customizable layout, thus can be used for different purposes. (e.g. calorie count, expenditure, things to do, shopping list, grades)
User can choose what sort of organizer, then select from a range of layouts. Cute images and animation used.

MY Study on past year winners:
I think the images were not the winning factor, but the randomness of the page. REALLY O_O
In my personal opinion, I thought www.williamismael.com was okay, but wasn't very interested in the other 2 that won (Anymail had no site, only screenshots). The Generative machine, I thought it was quite dull, just that it allowed users to personalize and change the tools.

In fact I was drawn towards My Favourite Things, I like the concept but it did not win due to lack of interactivity.

i think that if you interactively experienced william ismael's entry instead of looking at screen shots, you would have a true feel for what it was.

all best.
